Willow Smith, the daughter of actors Will and Jada-Pinket Smith, decided she wished to follow her parents into show business. At just 20-years-old, Willow began her music career over a decade ago at the age of ten, and she’s enjoyed the spotlight ever since. And her brother Jaden Smith is also following in mom and dad’s footsteps as he pursues an acting career. It’s clear that talent runs in this family.
Willow came onto the music scene with her hit song “Whip My Hair” in 2010, a song that earned her a nomination for Video of the Year at the 2011 BET Awards.
Before taking a little time off, she became a signed artist under Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation. Then in 2015, she released her debut album, and then a new album every two years since. Her last release in 2021 was an album titled “Lately I Feel Everything,” which marked her fourth studio effort. That’s pretty remarkable for any 20-year-old!
Over the last couple of years, fans have watched this young lady grow into the woman she is today, which also includes her sharing some of her personal thoughts and views in public.
In 2018, she started co-hosting “Red Table Talk, an internet talk show, with her mom and her grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
Since then, the show has been highly acclaimed, even earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
On the show, the three generations of women talk about themselves, dive into guests’ personal lives, and discuss current topics.
During one episode released in April, Willow talked about what it’s like being Polyamorous, which is a person who has consensual romantic relationships with more than one person.
