Most people love puzzles and riddles, but a lot of people have a fear of math, and with good reason. It takes some concentration and brainpower to be good at math and it doesn’t come easy to most of us. The great thing about math puzzles and problems is that they give your brain a good workout and working out the mind is just as important as working out the body, believe it or not. It doesn’t have to be advanced trigonometry to be effective, either. Some of my favorite challenges are simple logic math problems. They’re lots of fun to solve and it feels like an accomplishment when I find the correct answer.

The good news is that if I can’t figure it out, then I’ve learned something new when I scroll down to find the correct answer. They can seem easy at first, but that doesn’t mean they’re not challenging. In the one below, you have to think pretty hard to get it. It’s not just about math. Can you solve this in less than 60 seconds? If you can’t solve it, scroll to the bottom of the article for the answer.

What answer did you come up with? If your answer is 1, you’re wrong, believe it or not! Let’s explain. Just scroll down for the answer.

First of all, fish live underwater and they get their oxygen through water, so they can’t drown.

Second, fish are in a tank so it’s impossible for them to escape by simply swimming away.

And finally, even if they do die for some reason, they’re still in the tank.

So what is the correct answer? 10 because all 10 fish are still in the tank.
