‘Candy Sticking’: A Brilliant Social Distancing Halloween Idea Using Candy Bamboo Skewers for Trick-Or-Treaters

Given how this year’s turned out so far, not to mention what we still have to come, it’s not hard to understand why so many have already written off Halloween as a lost cause this year. After all, a tradition that’s supposed to be about folks getting together for fun parties and trick-or-treating doesn’t seem likely to do well under our current social distancing guidelines. However, there are several creative folks out there determined to adapt to the new reality this year and make Halloween fun and memorable for our kids. One such person thought up a rather ingenious way to hand out candy, without having to come into contact with trick-or-treaters.

Now, we’ve already seen some folks create things like candy chutes and even candy ziplines to deliver sugary sweets to their costumed guests. But, one om figured out a very simple and unique Halloween hack that doesn’t involve too much crafting. She calls her system, “candy sticking.” And we must take our hats off to Wendy Winter for coming up with this ingenious idea!

By using simple Bamboo skewers, Wendy simply tapes each wrapped candy package onto a stick and sticks it into the ground.

Not to mention, this idea looks totally festive! We feel that this could become a new Halloween tradition, pandemic, or no pandemic.

This seems a lot more fun than rummaging through a bowl and a pretty inexpensive way to help #saveHalloween in 2020. Plus, you can just sit outside and enjoy watching the kids run around grabbing their goodies from the comfort of your window or porch!
